The volume of commercial stocks of crude oil storage facilities in the U.S. in the week ended April 3, increased by 1.7 million barrels. and amounted to 361.1 million barrels. This was on Wednesday reported record in the regular Energy Information Administration (EIA) Ministry of the United States.
According to a survey conducted by industry consulting firm Platts, analysts predicted an increase in oil reserves, on average, at 2.3 million barrels.
Inventories of gasoline rose by 0.6 million to 217.4 million barrels. Experts had expected decline in gasoline stocks of 1.5 million barrels.
Stocks of distillates fell by 3.4 million to 140.8 million barrels. Analysts had expected reduction of distillates by 0.6 million barrels.
The reserves of oil in strategic reserves in the United States rose 1.9 million barrels. and amounted to 712.9 million barrels.
