"Gazprom Neft" has acquired a piece of Sibir Energy

JSC "Gazprom Neft" has bought 16.95% stake in Sibir Energy. As stated in the message, a British company, "Gazprom Neft" has acquired 65 million 503,947 thousand ordinary shares of Sibir Energy. Previously, it was reported that Renaissance Securities on the basis of the offer in favor of "Gazprom oil" looks to buy just over 16% of the shares in British companies. "Gazprom Neft" Sibir Energy bought the shares at a price of 500 pence per share. Thus, the transaction amount is approximately 309.25 million pounds sterling (about $ 450 million). According to British law, the owner of 10% of the shares registered in the country, the company has the right to convene an extraordinary shareholders' meeting. Ownership of 5% stake in the company gives the right to questions in the agenda of the annual meeting of shareholders and the right to distribute written information.
