Sales of General Motors cars in China in March rose by 24.6%

American avtokontsern General Motors on Wednesday reported an increase in sales in China in March to 24.6% compared to the same period last year to 137,004 vehicles, a record level of sales as a result of a month.

General Motors offered to Chinese consumers with new products, thus improving the competitiveness of cars GM. In addition, improvement in the consumer market of China is due to effective actions of Chinese authorities, who have taken extensive incentive program.

Earlier, the U.S. government has offered General Motors the necessary funds for a period up to June 1 for a complete reorganization of the company. During this time, the Government set up a group of experts will assess the performance of GM in the consolidation of brands and bond avtokontserna. If the conclusions of experts would be unsatisfactory, the Government would allow a GM bankruptcy proceedings structured with a view to its restructuring.
