Unemployment in the euro zone 9.9% in January

Taking into account seasonal factors, unemployment in the euro area has not changed in January this year, accounting for 9,9%, reports the EU statistical agency Eurostat. Thus analysts predicted rate increase to 10,1%.

The total number of unemployed in the euro zone rose in January at 38 000 and amounted to 15.683 million. On an annual basis the total number of unemployed rose to 2.204 million.
