Employment rate in Canada shows a steady growth

Employment in Canada increased by 20 900 in February, says Statistics Canada. The value index surpassed expectations of analysts, forecast an increase rate of 17 500. Recall that in January the number of employed increased by 43 000.

It should be noted that employment levels have steadily risen since June 2009 (159 000) compared with the sharp decline, which was observed from October 2008 to June 2009 (-417 000).

The unemployment rate fell to 0.1% in February from 8,3% to 8,2%. Economists speculated that the figure did not change during the reporting period.
