Annual inflation in the euro zone 0.9% in February, at the level of forecasts

Annual consumer price index for the euro area amounted to 0.9% in February of this year compared to 1,0% a month earlier, said the EU statistical agency Eurostat. The value of the meet analysts' forecasts.

In monthly terms, the consumer price index increased by 0,3% in February after declining by 0,8% in the previous month.

Annual consumer price index excluding prices for food, tobacco, alcohol and fuel (main index) declined in February from 0,9% to 0,8%, as expected by economists.
