Indicator of investor confidence in the euro area showed a sudden rise in March, after declining in February.
According to research group Sentix, index of investor sentiment in the euro area rose to a negative value of -7.48 compared to -8.23 in February. Economists expected the index would be at around -8.8.
The growth of the indicator was recorded by the expectations index, which rose in March to 4.5 compared with 3.75 in the previous month. At the same time, the index of current economic situation remained at -18.75, somewhat surpassing the February value of -19.5
