Eurozone industrial production index increased significantly in January

Eurozone industrial output increased by 1,7% in January in monthly terms, said the EU statistical agency Eurostat. The value index surpassed expectations of analysts, forecast an increase of 0,8%. In December, the index rose by 0,6%.

On an annual basis, industrial output in the eurozone rose 1.4% in January while the forecast reduction of 1,6%. Note that in the previous month, annual index decreased by 4,1%.
