The volume of building permits issued in the U.S. fell by 4,9% in January

The volume of building permits issued in the United States amounted to 621.000 in January, reports the Census Bureau. This is 4,9% lower than in December, when the figure was 653.000. Index value slightly exceeded expectations, as analysts predicted the decline in permits issued by 5,1% (to 620,000).

At the same time, the number of bookmarks of new foundations for January amounted to 591.000, by 2,8% higher than in December (575,000). Predicted to increase in the rate of 4,1% (to 580,000).
