United States, University of Michigan-ton, April 2009: The final index of consumer expectations

The index of consumer sentiment in the United States rose in April, according to agency Reuters and the University of Michigan. In April, the index rose to 65.1 from 61.9 in the preliminary calculation and to 57.3 in March. Economists projected the index was up 61.9. The index of current conditions rose to 68.3 from 63.3 in March, and the index of consumer expectations was 63.1 in April from 53.5 in March. Inflation expectations for the coming year fell to 2.8% from 3.0% and 2.0% in March. Expectations of inflation at 5 years, 2.8% from 2.7% in the preliminary calculation in mid-April and in March it was 2.6%
