Keltner channel

Introduction
Channel Keltnera based on the average true range and is sensitive to variability. It can be used instead of the standard deviation, or percentage Bollinger envelopes.

Description
The indicator was originally developed by Chester Keltnerom and later modified by Linda Bradford Raška for Middle True Range (ATR), calculated for 10 periods.

• Channel Keltnera consists of two lanes, constructed around exponential moving average (EMA), usually 20-day EMA.

• Prices, break through the lines, often served signals buying and selling.

Buy signal occurs when the price rose above the upper band. Alert sale occurs when the price closes below the lower band.
After a strong ascending trend, look for early signals of the output, such as break through the trend line or below the average closing price of the line moving average. This will allow the capture more revenue than at the close below the lower band.

Interpretation
As with all systems of the envelopes or bands, there is a high probability in favor of the fact that the price will remain within the envelope. When the price is, nevertheless, breaks out of the envelope, it can be seen as a signal to buy or sell. When price closes above the upper band, it often means a breakthrough, with increasing variability will be accompanied by higher prices.

When price closes below the lower band, prices are expected to move lower.

At the rising market of middle line, or a 20-periodnaya EMA, to provide support. On the contrary, in the downward market, it would normally provide resistance.

As with all systems are following the trend, Channel Keltnera works well when ascending or descending trend, but not dostato chno works well in the side channel. As the system are following the trend, it is not intended to show the top or base.

Channels Keltnera should be used in conjunction with other indicators like RSI or MACD, to provide confirmation of market forces. Exit strategy, using the trend line, and other indicators, as has been shown above, may be particularly important. In anticipation of the closing price outside the upper or lower band for closing the position, you may lose a large portion of potential profits from the good traffic.

Calculation of the channel Keltnera based on the average true range (ATR), is as follows:
• For the upper band or bands Plus, ATR is calculated over 10 periods, doubled and added to 20-periodnoy exponential moving average.

• For the lower band or bands Less, ATR is calculated over 10 periods, doubled, and subtracted from the 20-periodnoy exponential moving average.

• When the price closes above the upper band, it is a signal of strength and rising prices

• When the price closes below the lower band, it is a signal that prices will drop

• The signals operate until prices are not close in the opposite lane. This, however, must be consistent with other indicators to provide better opportunities to exit.
