UBS rejects accusations of tax management commitment

The largest Swiss bank UBS said that accusations that the chairman of the bank Kyurer Peter (Peter Kurer) or head Marcel Rohner (Marcel Rohner) are aware of the structures designed to mislead the tax authorities the United States, are without merit.

UBS circulated such reports on Sunday after a Swiss newspaper, including Sonntag, wrote that the top management of the bank, including Kyurer and Rohner, knew about the wrongdoing, passes Bloomberg.

«Neither the Department of Justice nor the authority to control the financial markets of Switzerland, UBS is not accused of leadership that the bank knew of the illegal offshore structure, and thereby on tax fraud», - says in a statement.

Newspapers Sonntag and SonntagsZeitung on Sunday brought the words of members of Parliament calling Kyurera and Rehnera to resign. Newspapers bring documents, including a civil suit against the U.S. UBS, which requires the provision of information on 52 thousand U.S. bank clients, which means that the bank's leadership could be warned about possible problems with the business in the United States.
