The index of business activity in the service sector in the United States rose in December

According to the survey of companies that conducted monthly by the Institute of Management, Corporate Supply, the service sector of the U.S. economy has shown growth in December.
ISM index for non-productive areas has increased in the reporting period to 50.1% compared with 48,7% in November.
Economists had expected a more rapid increase the rate to 51%.
The value of the higher mark of 50% indicates that business activity increased in a greater number of companies. The index was above 50% since August last year, but fell for that line in November.
