The December PMI index for manufacturing areas of Britain exceeded our expectations

Business activity in the industrial area of the UK has improved significantly in December, against a background of increasing demand, procurement of materials and volume of orders.
Index PMI, reflects the dynamics of business activity, economic conditions and prospects of development of the manufacturing sector amounted to 54.1 points in December against 51.8 points in November. Thus analysts predicted rise in the index to 52.1 points.
Recall that the indicator value above 50 points indicates growth of business activity in the industrial sphere, below the 50 - to slow down.
