Activity in the construction sector in Britain unexpectedly fell in October

Business activity in the construction sector in the UK has deteriorated in October as a result of falling demand, procurement of materials and volume of orders.
PMI Index, reflects the dynamics of business activity, economic conditions and prospects of the construction sector amounted to 46.2 points in October compared to 46.7 points in previous month.
Analysts, however, assumed that the figure will increase to 47.2 points. Recall that the indicator value above 50 points indicates growth of business activity in the construction sector, below 50 - at the deceleration.
