Britain's index of industrial production fell sharply in August

UK industrial production index for August fell by 2,5% in monthly terms, said National Statistical Office. The reduction rate was unexpected, as analysts predicted an increase in industrial production by 0,1%. Recall that in the previous month, industrial output increased by 0,5%.
On an annual basis the industrial production index for August fell to 11.2% in the previous value of -9.3% and -8.8% forecast.
The volume of manufacturing output declined by 1,9% in August. It should be noted that in July the index increased by 0,9%, and in August predicted a growth of 0,3%.
On an annual basis, the volume of manufacturing output in August fell 11.3% during the previous value of -10.1% and forecast at -9.3%.
