Consumer prices in the U.S. rose in September. Rising prices for cars, energy and health care smoothed first-year drop in the cost of rent and payments for housing.
Consumer Price Index in the U.S. rose in September at 0.2%. Index excluding volatile food prices and energy prices also rose by 0,2%.
Compared with the same period last year, consumer price index fell by 1,3%. At the same time, the index excluding prices for food and energy rose at annual rate of 1,5%.
